There are a number of ways I could introduce myself, because I am a number of things. I am a number of experiences, lessons, and ideas. The person I reside as has taken many years to form, from many drastic experiences and many many failed attempts at this and that. I am the product of two teen, lower middle class parents who carried generational curses on their backs. While many may see this as a negative, I am proud to say that I wouldn't be me without those two people.

I am a first generation college student, a creative, and someone who is infatuated with learning new things. At a young age it was clear that I was a creative at heart and photography was my first love. Picture a 10-year-old girl carrying around a disposable camera. If it was photographable, I most likely had it in my camera roll. Then came drawing, painting, collage making, you name it, I've tried it. It was the greatest outlet for a young girl to have and it saved my life many times.

I would not be ALISSA if I was not an artist or creative. Learning also inevitably comes with creating, what a blessing. I used to believe that if I failed at something, I was forever a failure in that subject. But who wants to be a master of one trade? I am multidimensional. I am the best at creating and learning. "I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious."
